DMCA & Copyright Policy

Effective date: June 24, 2026

1. Our Position on Copyright

ApeFX, operated by Ape AI, respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright.

2. Filing a Takedown Notice

If you believe content on ApeFX infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent at [email protected]. To be valid, your notice must include all of the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (for example, the URL or a description of where it appears).
  • Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

3. Designated Agent

Copyright notices should be directed to our designated DMCA agent:

DMCA Agent, Ape AI
Email: [email protected]
Cape Town, South Africa

4. What Happens Next

When we receive a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the material in question and make a reasonable effort to notify the user who posted or generated it. We may also remove material proactively where we have a good-faith belief it infringes, even before receiving a formal notice.

5. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may send a counter-notification to [email protected] that includes:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a court action within the period required by law.

6. Repeat Infringers

We will suspend or terminate, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, the accounts of users who are found to repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.

7. Misrepresentation

Under the DMCA, anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Please be sure of your rights before submitting a notice or counter-notice.

8. Questions
